Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Comes Up Short

St. Mary's Academy lost against Kent Denver back in January of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The St. Mary's Academy Wildcats took a hard 52-35 fall against the Kent Denver Sun Devils. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why St. Mary's Academy lost, don't look at Aleena Nauman. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. St. Mary's Academy is 4-1 when Nauman posts ten or more boards, but 6-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison High, who posted 13 points.

St. Mary's Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Kent Denver, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.
