Baseball Recap: Stadium Comes Up Short

Stadium extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 4-12 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tahoma Bears. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 9th.

Stadium saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raider Pula, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

As for Tahoma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

On Tahoma's side, the team relied heavily on Neal Burtis, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Timmy McEwen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Stadium will square off against Kennedy Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tahoma, they will take on Auburn at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
