Volleyball Recap: Jamyah Adylett's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northeastern over Martin County

The Northeastern Eagles didn't have quite enough to beat the Martin County Gators on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Northeastern sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 20-25, 25-21, 25-27, 15-7.

Northeastern's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamyah Adylett, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Northeastern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Martin County, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Northeastern has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Pasquotank County on the 25th. As for Martin County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Hertford County on the 25th.
