Soccer Recap: Wilson Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wilson can now relate to. They came up short against the Hilton Head Island Seahawks on Tuesday, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Wilson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 166th, while Hilton Head Island are ranked 20th).

Wilson has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Hilton Head Island, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-1 record this season.

Wilson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hilton Head Island, they will square off against South Aiken at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Aiken's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Hilton Head Island's offense will have their work cut out for them.
