Basketball Recap: Mark Keppel Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mark Keppel couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Maranatha Minutemen on Tuesday, falling 66-44. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Aztecs struggled afterwards.

Maranatha got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Harrison Harper out in front who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Harper a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Bryan Lopez-Wood, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 15 points.

Mark Keppel's defeat dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Maranatha, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-17.

Mark Keppel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maranatha, they have already played their next game, an 80-71 win against George Washington Prep on the 6th.
