Football Recap: Tucker Falls to Valdosta in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Tucker kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Valdosta Wildcats, falling 63-19. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Wildcats are ranked 33rd).

Jace German threw for 90 yards and one TD on only seven passes. Jayden Joyner was his top target, picking up 45 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valdosta to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marquis Fennell, who rushed for 114 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and one score. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Prince Jean, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tucker will face off against Chamblee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Valdosta, they will take on Mundy's Mill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
