Soccer Game Preview: Jackson vs. Arlington

The Jackson Timberwolves will face off against the Arlington Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Jackson will be strutting in after a victory while Arlington will be coming in after a loss.

While Jackson's win against Snohomish wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Timberwolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Panthers on Monday. The win was nothing new for Jackson as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Arlington has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They fell just short of Kamiak by a score of 3-2 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Arlington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Kamiak are ranked 104th).

Jackson's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6-2.

Jackson couldn't quite get it done against Arlington in their previous meeting back in April of 2021 as they fell 2-0. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
