Volleyball Recap: Joliet Catholic Falls Despite Big Games from Katie Selinger and Ella Godeaux

Joliet Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Skutt Catholic SkyHawks. The Hilltoppers were not able to make up for their defeat to the SkyHawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2021.

Joliet Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ella Godeaux, who had nine digs, and Katie Selinger, who had five digs and three aces.

Joliet Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Skutt Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Joliet Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Montini Catholic on the 4th. As for Skutt Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Downers Grove North on the 3rd.
