 The Denver Christian Thunder will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against the Lyons Lions at 6:30  p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
 Lyons is hoping to do  on Tuesday what Clear Creek couldn't  on Saturday: put an end to Denver Christian's winning streak, which now stands at 12 games. Denver Christian never let Clear Creek onto the board and left with  a   22-0  win.
  Mason Reilly and  Caleb Stork made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  Reilly   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Meanwhile,  Stork   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Reilly  went 2-for-2 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Stork  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Denver Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Asher Hawes, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Hawes is on a roll when it comes to  home runs, as he's  now  launched  at least one in the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Nathan Buehrer, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Lyons has not done well against Strasburg recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Saturday. Lyons put the hurt on Strasburg with a sharp  10-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Lyons considering their two-run performance the  matchup before.
 Like Denver Christian, Lyons also got a great game from a two-way player:  Jake LaCrosse. He  struck out seven batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits (and only one walk). LaCrosse was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Finn Oetting, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Calvin Russell was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Denver Christian pushed their record up to 17-4 with that  win, which was their 13th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Lyons, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Denver Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 3.6  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lyons struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 3.6. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Denver Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Lyons  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023, sneaking past  2-1. Will Denver Christian repeat their success,  or does  Lyons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
