The Conway Tigers will face off against the Carolina Forest Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Conway's victory against Socastee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Braves 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 18th.

Benton Causey was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off nine hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, firing off two home runs and three runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Meredith Thompson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Cayden Black, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Conway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Carolina Forest entered their tilt with Myrtle Beach on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over the Seahawks. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Natalie Nesheiwat was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Kylee Warehime was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
The victory made it two in a row for Conway and bumps their season record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Carolina Forest, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Conway has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Carolina Forest struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
