Basketball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Starts off Right with Win over Northwood Academy

St. John's Christian Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They put the hurt on the Northwood Academy Chargers with a sharp 78-54 victory on Monday. This was payback for the Cavaliers, who suffered a 68-63 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading St. John's Christian Academy to victory were Tradd Law and Thomas Hester. Law shot 50% from the field on his way to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals, while Hester dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten boards. Hester is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in each of the last 26 games he's played dating back to last season. Jacob Glover was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.

St. John's Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 70-68 win against Faith Christian on the 20th. As for Northwood Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-38 defeat against Cathedral Academy on the 18th.
