Recap: Arthur County Wolves vs. Wallace Wildcats
The Arthur County Wolves put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They claimed a resounding 60-8 victory over Wallace on the road. The result was nothing new for Arthur County, who have now won seven matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.
Dane Pilakowski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 131 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries. Pilakowski is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last eight games he's played. Reese Swanson got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Arthur County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. Leading the way was Justin Wenzel and his three sacks.
Arthur County's victory was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Wallace, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Arthur County will face off against Shelton at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Ben Myers and Pilakowski. Wallace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
