It was a good run, but Paulding unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Miller City Wildcats. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Paulding was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-21, 25-20.

Their offense was headlined by Kayde Kuckuck and Kayleigh Dunham, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Estie Pease and her 38 assists. Addi Pease controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Payton Michel was the offensive standout of the game as she had four digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season.

Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Miller City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Paulding has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Defiance on the 8th. As for Miller City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Holgate on the 9th.
