Softball Recap: Round Lake Takes a Loss

If Round Lake was riding high fresh off their 16-1 takedown of North Chicago on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost 17-1 to the Antioch Sequoits on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sequoits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Round Lake dropped their record down to 1-18-1 with the loss, which was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Antioch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-3 record this season.

Round Lake and Antioch are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against Larkin at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Antioch, they will venture away from home to challenge Grayslake North at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
