Volleyball Game Preview: East River Falcons vs. Winter Park Wildcats

East River hasn't had much luck against Winter Park recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Falcons will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

East River is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Lyman.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Winter Park faced Lake Brantley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell 3-1 to the Patriots. The Wildcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-23, 25-19.

East River's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Winter Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-5.

East River couldn't quite get it done against Winter Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
