Softball Recap: North Central Gets the Win

North Central's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Andrew Jackson Volunteers a 1-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Volunteers back in March, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

The result came thanks to Mackenzie Melton's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Addie Bittner, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

North Central's win bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Andrew Jackson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

As of now, neither North Central nor Andrew Jackson have any future games scheduled.
