Volleyball Recap: Liberty Christian Comes Up Short

Liberty Christian lost against Grapevine back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Mustangs.

While Liberty Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-8, 25-16.

When it comes to explaining why Liberty Christian lost, don't look at Georgia Rollins. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and four assists. Rollins is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Grapevine found their leader in freshman Prescott Carey, who had seven digs and two aces.

Liberty Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-24 record this season. As for Grapevine, their victory bumped their record up to 23-19.

Liberty Christian and Grapevine are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, the Warriors and John Paul II will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grapevine, they will face off against Azle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
