Soccer Recap: La Porte vs. New Prairie
La Porte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Prairie Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Slicers of the 1-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
La Porte's loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for New Prairie, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Porte will venture away from home to take on Lake Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.2 goals per game this season. As for New Prairie, they are on the road again on Tuesday to play Elkhart at 5:00 p.m.
