Basketball Game Preview: Mabton Vikings vs. Warden Cougars

Mabton and Warden are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Mabton Vikings will take on the Warden Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Saturday, Mabton took a blow against Columbia, falling 76-35. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Warden, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 61-52 victory over Granger on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Warden's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Mabton, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Mabton beat Warden 67-55 in their previous meeting on January 11th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mabton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
