Softball Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Sullivan Redskins

The MacArthur Generals will head out to square off against the Sullivan Redskins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

MacArthur can't be to happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Monday. They lost 18-2 to Cerro Gordo/Bement. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Meanwhile, Sullivan came up short against Casey-Westfield on Tuesday, falling 20-2. The Redskins have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Sullivan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylee Freese, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

MacArthur might still be hurting after the 23-3 loss they got from Sullivan in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can MacArthur avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
