Softball Game Preview: Washburn Beavers vs. Ashland Hornets

Washburn hasn't had much luck against Ashland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Beavers will be playing at home against the Hornets at 2:30 p.m. Washburn has given up an average of 16.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Washburn is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-17 heartbreaker at the hands of Madawaska. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (15), the Beavers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Ashland came up short against Central Aroostook on Wednesday, falling 12-5.
