Baseball Game Preview: Quitman Panthers vs. Forest Bearcats

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Quitman Panthers take on Forest Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Quitman and six for Forest.

Quitman lost 12-5 to Stringer on Saturday.

Daniel Peters was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Quitman: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Brenton McKenzie was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Forest didn't have quite enough to beat Raleigh on Thursday and fell 5-3.

Quitman now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Forest, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Quitman took their win against Forest in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quitman since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
