Perry is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Chardon is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Pirates will host the Hilltoppers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Perry didn't have quite enough to beat North and fell 3-2. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Perry saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rosalyn Tharp, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Chardon never let their opponents score on Thursday. They blew past John F. Kennedy 17-0. The game marked the Hilltoppers' most dominant victory of the season.

Chardon got a massive performance out of Savannah Murray, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. McKenna Banville was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Chardon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.

Chardon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7.

Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Perry hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390. However, it's not like Chardon struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Perry suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Chardon in their previous matchup back in April of 2022. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
