Baseball Game Preview: Gholson vs. Oglesby Tigers

Gholson is 0-4 against Oglesby since March of 2023 but things could change on Friday. Gholson will head out on the road to challenge Oglesby at 6:00 p.m. Gholson has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Gholson is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 15-5 to Aquilla.

Meanwhile, Oglesby unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Aquilla by a score of 7-6.

Oglesby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Markum, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another was Kegan Redford, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Oglesby's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-6. As for Gholson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Gholson might still be hurting after the 24-8 defeat they got from Oglesby in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Can Gholson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
