Baseball Recap: Barnum Comes Up Short on the Road Against Braham

Barnum had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Braham by a score of 9-8. If Barnum was looking for revenge after losing 6-4 to Braham when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sean Strandberg was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Eoghan Heaslip, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

The victory got Braham back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnum will venture away from home to challenge Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Braham, they will head out to face off against Ogilvie at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Bombers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
