Volleyball Recap: Columbus Cougars vs. Red Lodge Rams
Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Red Lodge Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 2nd.
Columbus actually scored more points across those five sets (103-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 16-25, 25-22, 25-20, 15-11.
Rayne Cook went supernova For Red Lodge., getting 35 digs. Those 35 digs gave Cook a new career-high.
Columbus now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Red Lodge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.
