Basketball Recap: Zoe Bishop's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Windsor Academy over Central Fellowship Christian Academy

Windsor Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 58-39 fall against the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while the Lancers are ranked 76th).

Windsor Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoe Bishop, who posted seven points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Price, who scored seven points.

Even though they lost, Windsor Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.3 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 8.2.

Windsor Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Central Fellowship Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Windsor Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-22 loss against Mount de Sales Academy on the 8th. Central Fellowship Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
