Basketball Game Preview: Nodaway Valley Wolverines vs. St. Albert Falcons

The Nodaway Valley Wolverines will head out to square off against the St. Albert Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Nodaway Valley was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Central Decatur. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, St. Albert entered their tilt with Treynor on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cardinals 48-46.

St. Albert's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Nodaway Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Nodaway Valley came up short against St. Albert when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 59-47. Can Nodaway Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
