Baseball Recap: Temescal Canyon Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

Temescal Canyon proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Elsinore Tigers 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-1 last Wednesday.

Temescal Canyon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Reece, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Harrison McGarvey also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Temescal Canyon's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Elsinore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Temescal Canyon has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Palm Desert on the 29th. As for Elsinore, they are taking a road trip to square off against San Dieguito Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
