Basketball Game Preview: Woodward Boomers vs. Hooker Bulldogs

Woodward is 0-3 against Hooker since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Woodward Boomers will host the Hooker Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Woodward played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They enjoyed a cozy 43-29 victory over Clinton. Given the Boomers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 130th, while the Red Tornadoes are ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Hooker beat Laverne 41-30 on Saturday.

Woodward has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Hooker, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
