Softball Recap: Farmersville Takes a Loss

On Friday, the Farmersville Farmers didn't have quite enough to beat the Winnsboro Raiders and fell 5-3. The Farmers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Farmersville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacey Wheaton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Farmersville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1. As for Winnsboro, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmersville will head out to face off against Canton at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Winnsboro, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mineola at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
