Baseball Recap: Box Elder's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mountain Crest, Box Elder was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Clearfield Falcons get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Bees as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Not much got past Judd Howells, who gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks to keep Clearfield off the board.

On the hitting side, Greyson Burt was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Box Elder's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Clearfield, their loss dropped their record down to 11-11.

Box Elder will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
