Softball Recap: Cox Mill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology on Tuesday, Cox Mill came back down to earth. The Chargers lost 9-3 to the East Mecklenburg Eagles on Wednesday.

Kinslee Ellington made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Cox Mill's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for East Mecklenburg, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Cox Mill will challenge Olympic at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Mecklenburg, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Providence at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
