Football Recap: Wilbur Cross Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Wilbur Cross's offense. They took a 16-0 bruising from the Hillhouse Academics on Thursday. The Governors have struggled against the Academics recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hillhouse found their leader in sophomore Jakyi Wright, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one TD. Wright's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. Antoine Williams Jr. was in the mix too, providing Hillhouse with one score.

Wilbur Cross' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Hillhouse, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

As of now, neither Wilbur Cross nor the Academics have any future games scheduled.
