Volleyball Recap: Nashoba Regional Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Nashoba Regional and Hudson, and Hudson kept the tradition alive. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks on Tuesday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

While Nashoba Regional had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Nashoba Regional still got an impressive performance from Melanie Gould, who had 22 digs and one assist. Faith Windzio was another key player, getting nine digs and two aces.

Nashoba Regional dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hudson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nashoba Regional will head out to square off against Westborough at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hudson, they will challenge Leominster at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
