Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Mount Sinai

While Mount Sinai's victory against Shoreham-Wading River wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs skirted past the Wildcats 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won nine in a row.

Mount Sinai got a great performance from Collin Morgan as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. The dominant performance also gave Morgan a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Mount Sinai's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Keith Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mount Sinai was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Mount Sinai pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Shoreham-Wading River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
