Softball Preview: Carroll Chargers vs. Homestead Spartans

The Carroll Chargers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Homestead Spartans at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Carroll is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.

In what's become a running theme this season, Carroll gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They put the hurt on Wawasee with a sharp 10-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what Carroll needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Meanwhile, Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mississinewa.

Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
