Volleyball Recap: Tolono Unity Takes a Loss

Tolono Unity was the 2-1 winner over Fairfield when they last played one another back in September of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Rockets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mules on Saturday.

Fairfield can attribute much of their success to Alexa Newman, who had seven assists and two aces. That's the most aces Newman has posted since back in October of 2024.

Tolono Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Fairfield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Coincidentally, Tolono Unity and Fairfield will both be playing Newton the next time they take the court. The Mules will head out to face the Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rockets will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
