Preview: Plantation Colonels vs. Nova Titans
Plantation is 0-5 against Nova since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Plantation Colonels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Nova Titans at 6:00 p.m.
Last Friday, Plantation took a serious blow against Flanagan, falling 50-21. Plantation was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.
Meanwhile, Nova waltzed into Friday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They breezed by Pompano Beach on the road to the tune of 63-13. Considering Nova has won three matchups by more than 43 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nova can attribute much of their success to Tamiyah Bedford, who scored 8 points along with 5 steals, and Jaelynn Housey, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals. The contest was Housey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was J'Yan Tyrell, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Plantation to 1-1 and Flanagan to 2-1.
