Softball Recap: Murray County Central Gets the Win

Murray County Central hadn't done well against Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Rebels walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Flying Dutchmen. This was payback for the Rebels, who suffered an 8-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Murray County Central and bumps their season record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Murray County Central will face off against Russell-Tyler-Ruthton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rebels are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. Edgerton/Southwest Minnesota Christian has already played their next matchup (against Adrian/Ellsworth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
