Baseball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus St. Paul's Prep

With a playoff win on the line, Harvest Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Monday. They skirted past the St. Paul's Prep Lions 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Saints have posted since April 5th.

Elijah Mann made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Mann wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Judah Mann, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Judah has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

The victory (which was Harvest Christian Academy's ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.7 runs.
