Basketball Recap: Benjamin Devoe and Jisiah White Secure Win for Bishop Moore

There's no place like home for Bishop Moore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against the Southeastern Prep Academy Falcons by a score of 61-53 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Hornets: when they faced off against the Falcons back in November of 2025, they had to take a 58-53 defeat.

Leading Bishop Moore to victory were Jisiah White and Benjamin DeVoe. White went 9-for-16 en route to 24 points, while DeVoe shot 67% from the field on his way to 17 points along with six boards and five assists. DeVoe has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Herman Collins, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Bishop Moore was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeastern Prep Academy only racked up seven.

Despite the loss, Southeastern Prep Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Noah Murphy shot 42% from the field to rack up 12 points.

Bishop Moore has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.4 points over those games. As for Southeastern Prep Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-4.

Bishop Moore wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-25 win against St. Petersburg Catholic on the 9th. As for Southeastern Prep Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 84-73 victory against The Master's Academy on the 7th.
