Kingston proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by eight) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Rondout Valley Ganders 7-6.

Ayla Terpening made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Abigail Crantz was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kendyl Short was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Kingston's record now sits at 11-9. As for Rondout Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
