Football Recap: Huss' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Huss extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-1. They took down the Anson Bearcats 28-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Huskies' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Bearcats are ranked 283rd).

Huss can attribute much of their success to Ethan Presley, who threw for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground.

As for Anson, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

Anson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cordarrius Bivens, who rushed for 112 yards and one score, and Tasean Harris, who rushed for 82 yards. Bivens also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making one tackle and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Huss didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-19 win against North Gaston on the 19th. As for Anson, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pender at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. The Bearcats will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
