            Osceola and Sarasota squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Osceola had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Sarasota Sailors by a score of  64-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Kowboys have suffered  since April 2, 2024.

 Osceola's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Luke Mccrimon, who  went 7-for-17  en route to 17 points in addition to eight  assists and three  steals. Mccrimon has been hot, having  posted 16 or more  points the last seven times he's  played.  Jordan Mundle was another key player,  going 6-for-12  on his way to 16 points and five  boards.
 Sarasota's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  John Lackaff led the charge by  going 7-for-15  to rack up 19  points and four  steals. Thanks to that strong game,  Lackaff now owns an excellent 40.9%  three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was  David Young, who  dropped  a double-double with 15 points and 13  rebounds.
Osceola's loss dropped their record down to 25-4. As for Sarasota, the  victory (which was their 18th in a row) raised their record to 28-2.
 Osceola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sarasota will have some time to savor their  win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Windermere at 3:00  p.m.  on March 7th. Windermere knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 29 matchups -- so hopefully Sarasota likes a good challenge.
