Basketball Game Preview: Newton Falls Tigers vs. Windham Bombers

Newton Falls is 8-2 against Windham since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Newton Falls Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Windham Bombers at 6:00 p.m. Newton Falls will be strutting in after a win while Windham will be coming in after a defeat.

Newton Falls is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 66-48 victory over Crestview last Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Landon McGregor, who went 7 of 11 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Phil Davis, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points.

Meanwhile, Windham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 79-44 loss at the hands of Bristol. The matchup marked the Bombers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Windham now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Newton Falls, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Newton Falls against Windham in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 61-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Newton Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
