Basketball Recap: Bloomington Comes Up Short

Bloomington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 95-9 loss at the hands of the Schulenburg Shorthorns. The Bobcats/Lady Cats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-3.

Messiah Gomez and Geneva Mckinney certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Gomez posted no points along with 17 rebounds and five steals, while Mckinney scored three points in addition to 12 boards and six steals.

Bloomington's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Schulenburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

Bloomington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Schulenburg, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-43 win against Shiner on the 10th.
