Soccer Game Preview: West Field vs. Green Canyon

The West Field Longhorns are taking a road trip to face off against the Green Canyon Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Field has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with seven straight losses, while Green Canyon will come in with three straight victories.

West Field is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They fell just short of Bear River by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that West Field have lost by just one goal.

The home team had come away the winner the last three times Green Canyon and Ridgeline had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Wolves came out on top against the Riverhawks by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The game was the first time Green Canyon have beaten Ridgeline on their pitch since May 6, 2023.

Green Canyon hit Ridgeline with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Colby Knight (2), Aaron Stevens, and Cannon Clark.

Green Canyon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three matches. As for West Field, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
