Softball Recap: Hollister Takes a Loss

Hollister was the 14-2 winner over Salinas when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Haybalers fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The Haybalers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hollister saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddy Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Hollister's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6-1. As for Salinas, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Hollister didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Watsonville on the 23rd. As for Salinas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-2 loss against Monterey on the 23rd.
