Soccer Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

If Liberty was feeling good fresh off their 5-0 takedown of Skyline on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 2-0 to the James Wood Colonels on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Liberty can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 249th, while James Wood are ranked 91st).

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for James Wood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3-2.

Coincidentally, Liberty and James Wood will both be playing Warren County the next time they take the pitch. The Eagles will head out to face the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Colonels will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th.
